There Together, Here Together Campaign

Comradery, Unity, Fellowship. Whatever you call it, so many of us miss it. The mission, the drive, regardless of the job that you had in the military, one thing that we could always rely on was those to our left and right. Now as Veterans in the civilian world, some of us tend to be loaners doing everything on our own.

Why? Why in a community(Yellowstone County) that has a veteran population of over 10 percent do we go on doing things on our own? Why not rely on the lessons learned from those who came before us? When there are so many of us, why don’t we learn to rely on each other again? We were willing to give our lives for each other in the service, so why not continue with that bond, and forge an even stronger one afterwards? Just as we were There Together(basic training, military schools, deployments, etc), lets be Here Together. We all come from a shared bond, at a minimum, of having been willing and able to sign on the line of that blank check that said we were willing to give it all for our Country.

That is why Veterans Navigation Network(VNN) is starting our There Together, Here Together Campaign. For the rest of 2021, we are going to strive to bring Veterans of Yellowstone county and Montana together. For fun. For growth. For Success. It is time that we put the stereotypes about Veterans to rest. We are not damaged goods. We don’t belong in some commercial with some sad song playing. Most Veterans in Yellowstone county are successful, hard working members of society. Imagine what we can accomplish for each other, for our families, and for our community if we band together once again.

If you would like to connect with other Veterans in Yellowstone County at our Vet Connect events, sign up Here to be sent event invites.
