This solemn event ensures that no veteran is forgotten, honoring those who have passed without family or loved ones present. The ceremony will include the reading of veterans' names, a color guard presentation, a 21-gun salute, the playing of Taps, and prayers in their memory. Project Community Connect 2025 is happening on April 11 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Missoula Public Library, utilizing all levels of the building and the MPL parking lot. The Patton Veterans Project offers free weekend filmmaking workshops for veterans in Billings and Bozeman, Montana, throughout 2025. These 3-day workshops help veterans create short films while fostering creativity, connection, and mental well-being. Workshops are limited to 18 Veterans, with meals included. Founded in 2013, the Veteran Support Network (VSN) was created to provide a strong support system for Veterans, service members, and their families/caregivers. Each year on Armed Forces Day (the third Saturday in May), VSN honors our hometown heroes and pays tribute to the service and sacrifices of our military community by hosting “Heroes @ Home.” This annual event features free food, live music, a resource fair, and a silent auction, held in partnership with the Veteran Suicide Awareness & Prevention (VSAP) run, walk, and ruck.

The (Not So) Average Jane Retreat is a transformative five-day experience for female veterans, offering holistic healing through equine therapy, art, music, and other alternative therapies not typically supported by the VA. Set in a safe, women-centered environment, the retreat fosters connection and healing with others who understand the veteran journey. The Montana VA Health Care System is hosting a virtual Women Veterans town hall on Thursday, March 27, at 5:00 p.m. This audio-only event will give Women Veterans the opportunity to hear from their dedicated healthcare team and learn about a wide range of services tailored to their needs, including preventative screenings, reproductive care, mental health support, menopause treatment, and more.
